Dr. Anne-Renee Hartman is a medical oncologist and precision-medicine executive with more than 20 years of experience advancing diagnostic technologies across the cancer care continuum, from early detection through diagnosis and therapy selection. She is a recognized expert in liquid biopsy approaches, having conceived and launched the first multi-cancer early detection test while at GRAIL and coined the term “MCED,” now standard across the industry. She led the development of the Galleri test, building one of the largest clinical genomics programs for cancer screening. At Myriad Genetics, she spearheaded the company’s first FDA-approved companion diagnostic, MyChoice CDx, and led development of MyRisk, BRACAnalysis CDx, and MyPath Melanoma. Today, as Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Adela, she is advancing genome-wide methylation technology for early cancer detection and management. Dr. Hartman completed her residency at the University of Chicago, her medical oncology fellowship at Stanford University, and held a faculty appointment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She was recently named a 2025 Top Woman Leader in Healthcare Technology by the Healthcare Technology Report.
